I have watched from the beginning and liked the Elizabeth and Jack storyline and thought it was sad they had to kill him off since Daniel left the show BUT I am definitely NOT one who wishes they'd bring Jack back to life, I LOVE her with Nathan so I'm good with her taking the picture of the 4 of them together but didn't feel the need to take the picture of Jack. But I did notice as I rewatched that she DID take Jack's medal that was returned to her at the end of season 11 so it was important to her to take a piece of Jack and not just discard him all together.

Yes! Totally agree with all this. Another friend pointed out the medal which is also important to Little Jack and there’s the hint of another frame under there too. Maybe a photo of the two of them. Fun to imagine. It’s just interesting that they chose to show us her taking out the pic of the four n light flicking back on over Jack solo. I had a funny thought reading this- some have said the creators n writers bought more seasons with Elizabeth n Lucas courtship then back to Nathan. Similarly if we go even further back, would show have lasted as many seasons if he hadn’t left show, making them kill off Jack? Not trying to be insensitive- not thinking of this as good in real life- but in drama and fiction in TV show the grief n healing- her rising from ashes to being a single mom n finally open to loving again. That’s a lot of heartfelt conflict that kept us glued to our screens for many episodes. Thanks for sharing- discussing is my favorite part!

This is so true. The kids remember who stayed calm. Wonder if this is partly what Elizabeth provides for Toby n Cooper. Why they trusted her with their worry that they were at fault. This season even three episodes in is so good at keeping us hooked. We are angry at a smug McGinty who is purposefully rattling Lee. We are falling for Gwen who damages school property n disdains dresses. We root for Oli trying to read things he’s never heard of because Allie likes it. I could go on and on. Thanks for commenting- I really enjoyed reading it and it got me thinking even harder.
